Would really like to do a gearbox/transfer case/differential rebuild!

+!
I really miss this feature in the game too.....hoped it would appear for CMS 15 but that never happend. After a while all the engines and jobs are too familiar, we need something new and a bit more complex and challenging.
Besides that they could introduce automatic gearboxes aswell. A number of the cars in game would not even have manual gearboxes IRL, especially not the american ones.
I would be more then happy if this was to be a paid DLC : gearbox parts/repairs and automatic transmissiosn.
Then automatic gears, it looks weird when there is a manual gearbox under the hood and inside the car is a lever for automatic (P-R-N-D...).
Gearboxes can be repaired on the repair bench as complete unit.
Dismantle a gearbox? I think there are too much different parts (the buy system is bad enough).
In real world garages don't dismantle the gearboxes, they exchange it as a complete unit with a new or refurbished gearbox (or an used one from the junkyard).
First of all, the dismissive tone is unnecessary. Secondly, what's there to "figure out?" I didn't know ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about car mechanics when I bought CMS14 and I did just fine. The game highlights parts you need to remove and tells you what parts you need to buy in order to reassemble the vehicle, in what order, plus we have a full parts list. There's nothing to figure out, just follow the on-screen instructions.
Also if you could still buy a whole unit, or fix it then people could choose what to do.
Lastly, there's no linkage in the game which could be interesting to add. Technically shifting can feel loose because of bad / loose linkage or even bad bushings in the shifter itself rather than the transmission.
