Can't get past first job...
I am stuck doing my first job. Brake job. Rotors. Pads. Calipers. Abs unit. I put the rotors on. Pads on. Go to put caliper on and it shows the caliper but when you hover over it to install it shows "rim lotz". You hold button to install and it asks for a rim? Why is that. It should show "brake caliper". Thrn i get out of the game. Get back in to the game and now it's stuck at loading screen. Green bar going along bottom. Music playing... Its stuck there.

I'm almost to 2 hours time. I will refund and move on to something else if this is an issue for other people.

It's weird, i thought they fixed the loading issues

As for your parts problem, i had the same with an engine (game wanting me to put engine head cover before shafts) but devs are pretty fast to fix these issues if you report them.

As for the refund, if I were you I would just wait for the game to be polished and come back to it in a month or two when major issues will be fixed.

CMS is still a great game, it would be sad to miss it just because of a bad start don't you think ?

I figured out a way around this bug, you need to click the big brake caliper picture on the left (not pressing enter or anything as that breaks the game) and then click the brake caliper cylinder picture to join the items.
Then this installs the brake calipers correctly and you can install the wheel.
Unfortunately if you dont do this it seems to make you install the wheel anyway and break the repair on that car.

I don't get a picture of a brake caliper though. I get a picture of a rim.

If you are trying the workaround on the existing car, the bug will remain. I had to make a new save outright to actually get around it and basically avoid causing the bug to happen for any future cars.

Also when you back out of that menu by hitting ESC a few times; does the brake caliper not actually appear on the car but on the mount mode it shows the outline of the caliper but has the name of the rims instead?

yes, it shows the caliper but names it rims.

i just refunded the game. i wanted to like it but ill move on to something else.

i assume the bugs and gameplay would be flushed out in the amount of time they have been working on it. this was taken from their pinned forum:

"You have full right to be angry at us, to be disappointed. To make refunds. We deserved it.
We - are disappointed. We worked on CMS 18 since 2015, right after CMS 15.
Whole this series, each part - it's like a baby to us. We love those cars.
All mistakes we made, are very painful."

sounds like they were working on this for 3 years. 3 years and still this bad and buggy? how is that possible?

again. i wanted to like it. hopefully they get it right somewhere down the road. guess ill have to work on my real car for now!
