Why no EXP bonus for selling a car?
So, as the title suggests, I'd like to know why in the world there is a bonus in EXP for completing a job, but not for selling a car. I reached level 12, bought a car from a barn, fixed up everything except the body itself ('cuz I'm level 12 and haven't unlocked the welder), even replacing everything from the body that I could remove, and I didn't get a single point of experience for selling the thing, other than the EXP from actually assembling the thing. If you're going to make the game have such a major grind and make fixing up cars the apparent focus of the game, then why would you lock us into farming repair orders for EXP? I would recommend having a fairly large chunk of EXP as part of the restoration cash bonus. Since this isn't a bug and doesn't belong in that thread, could the mods maybe put it in as a suggestion for an upcoming patch?

That would definitely be a nice incentive. This game has so much more potential. I hope they jump on all these great suggestions.

Didn't 2015 have bonus XP for selling restored cars?

Felt kinda sad that I made no level progress with 1 hour work on a car, bu did make 20k profit in money.

i once made 26k profit on a pickup for reparing the whole front suspension and whole gearbox.

I guess the idea is that you're fixing up old cars to make money, not become a better mechanic. It's not part of the "progression," so to speak, but a side activity you do on your own.

But I do think it is odd that you don't get the XP for selling the car that you fixed up yourself, even though you get XP for fixing up someone's car as part of a job. It's almost the same thing, fixing the car for cash.

Agreed! I think as long as you increase the value by a few thousand, you should get some exp

Most likely, you will not receive XP bonus points on the sale of repaired cars because up until now you can not restore 100% a car (unable to restore the bodywork), instead the orders received when completed are considered 100% Receive the bonus completion, this is my opinion.

i bought a broken down Chieftain Bandit, paid it around 22k, restored it and now it's worth around 120k a pretty good investment !

Yeah, except you didn't get any XP for selling it. Money's not the point of this thread.

I don't know if we're talking about the same thing. But when I'm restoring a car I bought in the junk yard. My XP is going up in iincrements of +1/+2 or so as I'm installing parts.

I don't believe I get any XP points when I sell the almost finished product as I have no body shop yet.

That was my point. He's getting XP Points while tearing it down and rebuilding the car. Why does he need more XP points for selling the car? It's not Car Selling Simulator 2018.

just a thought

I also think that selling a fully restored car should give you at least 500 XP because of the work hours you invest into that car. I mean a repair job gets around 104 XP when finished and it can be done within 2-3 minutes if its a simple exhaust job. For 1 entire hour you should get at least those 500XP
