Custom Music
This took me a little bit to figure out, so I thought I would post it for others. Custom music goes in the following location:

<Steam install location>\steamapps\common\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018\cms2018_Data\StreamingAssets\Music\User\

THE FILES NEED TO BE IN OGG FORMAT!

Then to play it, you use the radio in the garage and select the last station, U-ZER.

Thats how i did it in CMS 2015, just turn on your music player, if your keyboard has music controls you very likely can even control the music player (VLC, Windows Media Player) from inside the game.

I use Audacity. You can create a chain to apply to multiple files at once.

You can certainly still do that, but custom music is a feature they added to CMS2018 for those (like me) that would rather use the in-game radio.

Though the radio was disabled in the latest patch until they work out some issues with it. :/

OGG, yeah, that's a license-free format? Just curious, but are there any losses associated with the format conversion?

OGG is lossy, but it's similar to a decent MP3. It has a smaller file size due to it's variable bit rate.

I don´t even try to use custom music in game. I´m just using my standard mediaplayer in background.
