But yeah you're right, the objective is not clear at all. I too thought I had to kite the guy to the scarf but I'd just get caught every single time. Trying to circle around obstacles without getting seen is nigh on impossible with the current camera and the AI that can seemingly see through walls.
Finally managed to progress past it though. Thank god. The only part of the game I hated.
To the devs : maybe a explanation of what to do would be nice ;) (something like a target)
For the record I really liked your game :) It's just that the objective in this final area isn't clear at all and seems to be causing a few people some frustration, mainly because the line of sight detection of the AI is unforgiving.
I must've been forced to restart that whole section about 20 times before I finally saw the VERY faint particle effect on the ground and knew where I was supposed to go.
But, like I say, I think it's a really nice game overall :)
Why did we have to mess around with the NPC? Why couldn't we just sneak up on it and take the power like usual?
Why couldn't we just lead him into the dragon? Why doesn't he even react to it when he's right next to with with the beast clearly exposed?
This isn't a bad concept, but it just needed much better communication on what we should be doing, and WHY.
Including the bug fixes and optimizations as we've been reporting?
Why is the objective where the seeker starts? Why did the scarf need to hide until that moment? Why wouldn't the scarf have jumped out of hiding while we were doing the seeking? The hide and seek portion was fun while we were seeking, but given the lack of context clues as to what do while hiding was just frustrating.
ETA: Okay, I looked at a walkthrough and like I thought from previous posts, you're supposed to get back to where the seeker starts counting. There is literally no indication of this in the game, and I have no idea how anyone is meant to figure that out. Plus, the detection from the seeker is honestly ludicrous. This seriously soured me on the game so much that I didn't bother finishing it and I uninstalled, with no plans to come back later to finish the last 15-20 minutes of the game I have left.
Thank you, I can't believe everyone frustrated in this thread about not knowing what to do, kept perpetuating the ambiguity by NOT TELLING US WHAT TO DO
