The recent update for some reason has created a situatino where the game will not launch. Steam gives an "invalid app configuration" and will not launch. I have deleted the game multiple times now, cleared the download cache, re-installed, restarted, to no avail. I'm not having problems with any other games I've tried running. I've looked at several generic guides about this Steam error and followed the directions. I don't know what else to do....

This game is in my library. I know it's gone from the the store, but isn't it a rule that if you buy a game on steam, you will always be able to download it, even if it has been removed from the steam store?
