I finally figured out that for me to get into the game, I have to start with no VR running (Steam, Vive, games). If I start out with nothing running, just clicking on Space Dream (no controllers turned on, no base stations spun up) and let it start everything, then I can get in the game. Otherwise it fails, for example, if I try to go in Space Dream after playing another game.
And still no sound.
I am Win10 on an Asrock Z77 Extreme4 with I7-3770K @ 3.5GHz and 16GB RAM and I have Zotac GTX1080 video. I am using whatever audio is built on the mobo.
OK, Thanks! The graphics are cool.
The reason why there is no music playing is because you are expected to play your own music using your program of choice. The program analysis all sound playing on your PC and visualizes the world based on the sound.
The reason why a lot of poeple had their game crash was because they did not play any music when running the program, and the program was trying to analyze an absence of music. This is similar to dividing by Zero.
I have fixed this problem, and also added a user friendly startup menu that should address both of these issues. You can update SpaceDreamVR now if you wish and try it out.
If you have any other issues, I would appreciate it if you could contact me personally at admin@spacedreamvr.com, as that way I can troubleshoot with you and find a solution to your problem.
It is my goal to produce the best user experience possible, and as the game is still in development, I'd hope that you would understand and appreciate my efforts to improve the game based on your criticisms.
