You might have to create a new account with a different email address. Assuming that still works, you'll be able to play online.
I'm considering trying to get it again, maybe i'll be able to log in with that old account i made, but it appears that playdek still doesn't have their house in order! Sadly.
It’s a pretty good board game that has a well implemented asynchronous online mode with ELO ratings and a quite active player base last time I played, so it’s worth getting for a good price despite the frustrations with PlayDek, it’s likely that your account will still be available, or you can create a new one if you have trouble accessing it.
As you know, Steam allows up to 2 weeks to claim a refund, so give it a few days at least if you have to register a new account. Just don’t go over the 2 hours time limit in offline mode while waiting.
I don’t know of many other board games with asynchronous play apart from the classics (backgammon, chess, draughts, etc). If you can suggest any, please let me know. By asynchronous I mean that the game can be played over (at least) multiple days, if not weeks. Preferably with cross-platform support with mobile versions of the app and that the mobile versions support notifications so you know when its your turn. Know of any others I should try?
Cool. If I see you around I'll have a game. What's your in-game name?
Thanks for those. Armello looks really good, but the mobile version appears to be a freemium game on iOS. I’m bitterly opposed to that model. I assume it therefore doesn’t support cross-platform multiplayer.
