Is base destroying allowed on PVE servers?
New to the game and have building my base for the last 3 days and collecting resources. Log-in 10 min ago to find that my base is completely gone. Not one panel is left! As if my base has never existed. I'm also RIGHT next to 5-6 other bases and they are all there so wtf?!
Not the kind of stuff I expected from a PVE server

Bases won't disappear on their own but, if you don't build a maintenance terminal or forget to load it with enough Flop, then you have essentially left your door wide open. They didn't have to "destroy" the base in the sense of blowing it up but, they can use a construction tool to break it down the same as if you placed a wall in the wrong location and wanted to move it.

Since the game is supposed to encourage teaming up by players, other players on PvE servers can interact with your structures, unless explicitly locked out (with a MT).

did you put flops in your maintanece terminal
MasterStallion Oct 2, 2018 @ 7:16pm
Dont think so. Does that mean the base just dissapears?

No - it means you have no lock on the doors - everyone can access your base
MasterStallion Oct 2, 2018 @ 7:30pm
But are they allowed to destroy it completely? Like I said, the WHOLE base is gone.

Yes - anyone can deconstruct it cause you didn't claim ownership with a maintanece terminal

OK Thanks for the reply. Guess its a newb move on my part. Its not explained too much in detail in the tutorial. I had sooooo much stuff.....

this is kinda why i stopped playing as thats to much work. they literally couldve copied ARK and just made it so where all you had to do was login so you keep the base upkeeped. the whole MT thing is just crap to me because if you dont play for a while then you basically are starting from scratch again.

Personally I think this is a smart way to declutter a server where people log in, build a base and never show up again for different reasons...

I think what would be better if that when the base owner and its allies are offline. The flops in the base system should deplete at a much slower rate like 0.25 times slower.
