CAN I USE MODS ON STEAM VERSION OF NEXUS? HOW?

Im a big fan of Nexus. Each two years, I do install it again and play the singleplayer game.
I found some mod files, tho.
I would love to play it, but Its unclear to me how to install the mods et all.
Can anyone help?

Yes, yes you can use mods on the steam version. Here's how?

(1) download your chosen mod
(2) go to the Nexus mod folder. path - Steam/Steamapps/Common/Nexus The Jupiter Incident/mods
(3) open the window where your mod downloaded to.
(4) Drag and drop the mod file into the mods folder
(5) extract the file (I use 7-Zip and choose extract files here)
(6) Launch the game through Steam
(7) When the launcher loads click the MODIFICATIONS button
(8) Profit$$$$

A couple of things to note. You cant create a folder in the mod folder. You have to extract all files into the mod folder.So far the only mod I have tried is the Star Trek Enhanced Combat Mod which can be found Below. It offers quite a few missions where you get to play different races fro the star trek universe. Will be trying more soon.
