What optional objectives give medals?

I know that you get most medals from difficult "milestone" missions but I know of at least one that specifically involves secondary objectives. Does anyone know of a list of these medals and how to get them?

For instance I've seen people claim that you get a medal for the Raptor Raid mission if you manage to escape with all ships intact. On my first attempt I lost everything except for the two rearmost freighters. After many tries I managed to save all the freighters on normal difficulty but lost the destroyer in the process and recieved no medal. Out of curiosity I went back and edited the game files to turn on easy difficulty for that mission. I breezed through it without losing a single ship, destroyed all of the raptors and the mission ended while I was halfway through scanning the raptor carrier. Even that didn't give me a medal, so it seems like the Raptor Raid isn't one of them.

Medal 1 for successfully defending the Sunflower base by destroying or disabling all three attacking ships

Medal 2 for saving lives aboard the Razor and the Northstar Station

Medal 3 Disabling the raptor base

Medal 4 destroying 5 gorg ships and successfully defending the colossus

Medal 5 disable both IP-blocker and Fortress Shield on the station at epsilon gate

Medal 6 destroy all enemy ships at the peacetalks (comet) while defending gorg ambassador

Medal 7 for scanning and destroying the the Locust queen

Medal 8 scanning the entity and saving the NOAH admiral Scheinmann

Medal 9 succesfully deploy blocking field, destroying the entity and rescuing Vice Admiral Norbank from Balthazar

Medal 10 reaching and securing the communication relay stations, destroying the entity orb and the remaining units of the controlled fleets

Not sure about how you activate all of them, but it should give you a clue.

How do you get medal 3? Do you have to destroy the coolant thing yourself? Because midway into the mission a vardrag ship shows up and deploys 9 gunboats. They immediately kill the base before I get a chance to scan it. Frustrating.

You have to scan the base and kill it off with the leaky reactor, as well as killing off the mothership. Take too long and the vardrags jumps in

I pulled the list out of text attribued to the medals and then just guessed at what the objectives to get them would be.

Medal 3 read as:

For his exemplary courage and initiative in action against the Raptor pirates, in the vicinity of Scoratus II, on August 4th, 2112.Captain Cromwell took over as commanding officer of Rear Admiral Norbank's task force following the loss of the battleships Rome and Athens. Despite the significant hostile threat and the extremely tough circumstances, thanks to his extraordinary leadership skills and his quick response to the situation, he managed to disable the Raptor pirate base that was threatening the security of the entire region."

Does anyone actually have medal 3 though? It may not have been implemented, I tried several times to get it with no success. I eventually got a "perfect" run where I lost nothing but the two scripted battleships and a single spark fighter with all optional boxes ticked. Still no medal.

The only thing I didn't do was completetly destroy one of the raptor frigates which was hulked and hanging by a thread at <5%. health. Could that have been the problem?

I had an even BETTER attempt where I lost no fighters at all except it was still a loss because the freaking Angelwing was a few inches too close to the base when it detonated.

Unless anyone can prove otherwise I'm pretty sure medal 3 doesn't exist. I have:

1. Completed the mission without losing anything but a few spark fighters.
2. Completetly destroyed all raptor ships
3. Fully scanned the raptor base
4. Destroyed the leaking coolant using fighters

All objective boxes were ticked as green and still no medal. I can't remember ever getting a medal here in any of my other playthroughs but I do recognize the other 9 medals. So I'm pretty sure this medal was simply never added to the game.

If you open the files and go to wherever you installed Steam "\steamapps\common\Nexus The Jupiter Incident\universe\missions\EPISODES", open each file with Notepad++, you find the following text in 023___BackToEarth.mission, line 385, you find "M.marcus:uAddMedal(02);".

While in 031_1_Battle.mach, line 199, you can find "M.marcus:uAddMedal(04);". I cannot find M.marcus:uAddMedal(03) anywhere.

So yeah, Tamren, I do not think it is implemented.
