Report a translation problem
Thanks for reporting into the forums regarding a couple of the incidents you have encountered while playing the game
1) This is normal behavior, guards will sometimes walk into cells at night and also check desks as inmates are returning to their cells.
2) Were there any other damaged vents in the prison at all that the guards may have investigated? Guards may have reported another damaged vent perhaps which would have triggered the maintenance personnel to deploy
Any additional information you can provide regarding scenario two would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

The issue happened several times in a row, every time i went into the vents it happened without fail.
Hey NemesisZero!
This is happening when there is only one vent cover open, in your cell, correct? If there are multiple vent openings, the guards may notice this and proceed to check the vents for other damage too.

no there is a fake vent cover on both vents that i have used
Sorry for the delay in response,
Thank you for the update regarding this bug. I'll make sure to pass this information forward to our QA team to further investigate
Thank you!

With the release of Update 10 we have made changes to guard and security camera behavior which may well have resolved your issues.
If you continue to encounter oddities with guard behaviour and activity we ask that you create a new thread detailing the issues you encounter as we are now dealing with a different version of the title compared to your original report.
Thank you for your continued support and patience!
