Crossplay doesn't work!

My friend plays on ps4 and i play on pc and we can't find each others games. We've checked that we're on the same server and checked updates but it haven't worked. We have different amount of players online on the info thing, and we both checked our game version and found out that me playing on pc from steam i have newer version 1.1 or something and my gf on ps4 has version 1.0, so is there anyway i can get the older version of the game or do we really have to wait until the update is released on ps4?

Unfortunately, The Escapists 2 is not cross-platform, therefore you will not be able to play with someone on PS4.
To play together you will both need to own the game on the same platform.
