Unreliable Putty

When you have putty in your inventory you're supposed to be able to right click on a guard key to make an imprint without taking the key from the guard. The last few times I tried this it wouldn't work, forcing me to steal/craft/replace before he got swooped away.

I don't think the right-click thing actually is supposed to happen. They increased the time before a medic comes to get a guard, so I'm not having any problems with it - it was intended to happen.

is it in your hand? I mean by in the first slot in your inventory.

If that's the case they need to fix the key tooltip that tells you to right click to make a mould.

Hey there everyone!

Just to ensure we are dealing with a definite bug here, can you ensure you are doing the following when attempting to quick-craft the key molds from guards:

1. Do you have the putty on your inventory belt? (it doesn't need to be No.1 on the belt it can be in any position)
   
2. Are you hovering over the guards key whilst pressing RMB?
   
3. Do you have 50+ intellect in order to craft the key mold? The action won't proceed unless you do and your inmate should have a piece of dialogue/speech bubble relating to their intellect being too low to craft the item

You need:
40+ intellect to craft the Wad of Putty
50+ intellect to craft the Key Mold (either manually stealing the key and doing it that way or quick molding via RMB over a guards key)
60+ intellect to then craft the Plastic Key

Let me know if you have done all the above and if this appears to still happen!

I just tried to replicate the problem, but I couldn't. I don't know if it was caused because I had crafted multiple putties and dropped the most recent one, or if just cause I had more than 1 putty on me, but trying to replicate the problem by crafting 1 putty and clicking the key works fine. (I'd test the multi-putty idea but collecting the materials takes longer than I'd like.)

Ok, it happened again. This time I made careful notes on what happened. (In all steps I only had a weapon and the putty in my inventory. Otherwise my inventory is empty)

First I crafted a putty which I kept in my inventory bar.
Then I found materials to craft a second putty which I dropped on my cell floor, keeping the first.
I tried to use the first putty with right clicking. It failed.
I went back and swapped for the second putty, dropping the first.
I tried again with the second putty. Success!
I tried a third time once again with the first putty. Still fail.
