OMP: Lights Out Exploit
By connecting rooms with your co-op friend, you are able to exit each other's cells after dark without a cell key.

Proposed solution: after lockup for the night, no cell door should be openable without a cell key.

Place lock
When i go to a place, under the map appear a litle ticket and i can go where i want. I think is it a big problem, becase when comes the "LIghts out" i went to the door and stay there (very close to de cell area)and i can leave the cell and the guards didn t want catch me. This is very anoying in a simulator game. I hope you ll fix that. I love your game and i hope it ll have a map editor and workshop maps. :)

[bug] you dont have to go to your room at night time
1 start up any non transport prison, other parameters dont matter
2 wait untill you have to go to your room at night time
3 go to your room
4 place your character in between the door-tile and the first room-tile
5 walk out

result: you wil get a check marker for night time(or whatever its called i forgot)
and then you can walk around without a lockdown happening. and when you get spotted by a guard they SOMETIMES ignore you, i dont know why that happens

Also after you exit your friends cell you can them come back anytime to your cell without cell key.

To be fair, being able to leave other cells is to prevent you from getting stuck, and they really don't expect you to be able to connect 2 cells and get away with it. I'd consider this more of a trick than an exploit.

You shouldn't be prevented from getting stuck, I say. There are risks associated with skulking after dark. Let that be one of them. Let a lockdown occur if that's what needs to happen.

Alternativly you could add a "Yell Fire" button that will provoke an immediate lockdown and get you thrown in the SHU as a last resort for getting stuck. Or if you really just want to check in.

Hey everyone!

Currently, going into other people's cells and backing out or connecting cells to co-op players isn't necessarily considered an exploit.

When the 'RETURN TO CELL' timer below the mini-map has depleted and the 'Lights Out' phase is in in full effect, any inmate caught outside their cell via guard, dog or spotlight will trigger lockdown immediately. So, while you can navigate around the prison during 'RETURN TO CELL' without any consequences, as soon as it turns to 'Lights Out', you have to watch out!

If you are experiencing issues with guards not spotting you and raising the prison alertness during 'Lights Out' please let us know as soon as possible! :)

@ claiminglight - There is a surrender function in the game already similar to the "Yell Fire" suggestion you made. Simply press F4 and then F1 to surrender. This will get you sent to solitary straight away.

We will consider all the feedback proposed here regardless as I will pass this information on to the devs to discuss.

Thanks again!

F4 then F1? I really wish you would change that, especially for laptop users that need to use that damn Fn key to hit either. That is inconvenient as all hell- I understand the 2 button thing for safetys sake, but it should be a combination that everybody is able to use and actually gets said in game. I had heard about it before yet never was able to find out how to use it, that's just a horrendous design flaw.

"Exploit" should be read here as "developer oversight". :)

There just isn't any need to collect a cell key. It'd be an added risk, for no benefit, at the cost of having a limited durability item. But you're right: it isn't like a wall clip or something. "Exploit" may not be an appropriate appellation.
