"Fatal error in gc: GetThreadContext failed"

Sometimes i get this error when launching the game. I googled it and saw it was a Unity Engine related error, i have no wonky stuff running on the background and it's a rare occurence, let's say 1/20 times it happens. Any idea ?

GetThreadContext failed launch error.

When i try to launch the game i get an error message that pops up saying "GetThreadContext failed" anyone know how to fix this?

Ok thanks but i fixed the issue, if you are using Avast anti-virus and getting the error this is what i did to fix it:

- Open Avast and go to Settings.
- Go to Troubleshooting.
- Make sure "Enable hardware-assisted virtualization" is unticked.
- Restart PC for changes to take effect.

I will change the title to solved incase anyone else has this issue :)

Actually it worked once and i got to play but when i went to play the game again it came with with the error, thought it was fixed but it isn't :( , any help would be apprciated

How can i give you my dxdiag info ? I feel it may contain some private data about my system and i don't really want to post the securepast link on this forum.

How can i give you my dxdiag info ? I feel it may contain some private data about my system and i don't really want to post the securepast link on this forum.

The Dxdiag doesn't contain any confidential information and you can post a link here without worry. It's simply a list of your PC specifications, hardware and drivers that we can use to better diagnose this issue :)

The other question was whether or not you have any anti-virus software running whilst launching the game?

If so, which anti-virus software? And have you tried launching the game successfully with it closed down?

As i said, i have no anti-virus except the windows firewall.
The unity error is a rare occurence, it seems to happens once every 10 or 20 game launches, but when it happens, it's only when i launch the game.

No problem.
Quick update, i tried playing minutes ago and now the issue is much more frequent, i have like a 50 % chance of encountering the error when launching the game.
