Split screen and online co-op, at the same time?

Interested in getting a couple of copies for my family. Before I do I'd like to know is it possible to play this title in split-screen and online at the same time. To clarify I would have two players on one machine and a third one would join over LAN/Internet. Is that possible? TIA!

Yes, you can play splitscreen when you are playing online. Only thing you can't is in versus.

How do you play co-op in local splitscreen? I've only been able to do vs in splitscreen so far but would love to do the regular levels!

As long as the other person is using controller, they just need to click A (or X for PS4) as soon you skip the cutscene. You cannot play using two keyboards.

Hey thanks, that worked! I'm surprised they don't have a prompt or any indication at all that another player can join--you'd have to already know or just try it on a whim.

How to prevent a second local player from playing? Don't give a second player a controller and don't have them Press A/X on it.
