Purpose of the sheet rope?

I know that in the escapists 1 you could use the sheet rope to descend from the roof, but since you can do that without the sheet rope in TE2 what's the purpose of it?

Sheet Rope let's you descend two floors.

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried to use it from the roof layer in a custom prison, but it didn't let me use it despite my character saying it was too high. Can you not use the sheet rope in custom prisons or is there something I'm doing wrong?

Haven't tried it on Custom Prisons, but the Sheet Rope is kind of weird. It mostly works when descending two floors but when nothing is blocking where you want to land. And I think it also only works on half walls, so the sheet rope doesn't work when using it on a fence, normal wall or a open wall. A good prison to go and test them is Dungeons and Duct Tape.

Alright, I tested it on dungeons and duct tape and it seemed to only work on the half walls as you said. Thanks for the help!
