Remote play multiplayer
Guys, I have a problem, hope you can help. Yesterday I got the game and I'm totally new to it, so be gentle.
How do I play with a friend using remote play? We managed to connect, everything seemed fine, but we are only able to control the same character. I guess we're doing something totally wrong.

First make sure you go from the main menu into settings, go to controls and make sure on top it says "Mouse and Keyboard". Now you're able to play with your friend, just keep in mind that Player 1 must use Keyboard & Mouse and Player 2 must use a Controller. If you're the one hosting the Remote Play Together, you're not forced to be Player 1, so you can be the one using the controller (Player 2) if you want.

Sorry this is such a long time after the chat but does this mean I can play with a friend who isn't on my LAN?

Remote play is for you to play like you are on LAN but is actually with online friends. Let's say you want splitscreen with a friend who doesnt own the game, it will help here.

I'd hate to be ridiculous, but I followed these steps but it's still only letting one person play, and by this I mean both people are playing as the same character I need to figure out how to have another avatar for me to play as
