There isn't a single contreband detector in the whole map
The sniper can't shoot at you
There is a lot of space place for hidding you and items with the use of a hook
Breakout Perimiter is just about digging a bit and repair the boat
The multiplayer escape just need some coordination
I escaped with each way on 9day on the same run with 2 players
That thing is maybe a bit grinding for the solo but that prison is a straight succes
the sniper can get you outside just like always
In the Gulag prison the detector are in Sport, L8brary and Canteen.
The outside of the map is quite useless. Only working place
Most of the time i'm just walking beetwen floors. The only interest there is the well and the small room near the perimeter.
Honestly BigTop was harder, space was harder, Gulag was harder
Even Kapow camp was harder
But once you learn the place, it's actually quite generous in places to stash things, the ability to search other desks, and the ability to just get around without many obstacles in your way. Though there was that incident where it turns out the entire guard wing of the castle is easy to get into, but needs a key to get out again.
Perhaps the biggest pain though is - like on a lot of other prisons - key items that show up randomly in standard desks are very dependent on luck and you can go days without a key item turning up.
When doing a new Escapists map for the first time, I keep trying to prep two escapes at the same time, so after doing one, I can reload and do the other without having to redo everything, but I end up always having to redo everything anyways because it's like starting one escape locks out the key items for the others. They just stop spawning entirely. Supposedly it's just luck, but this pattern has been very consistent for me.
If I had any suggestion, it would be unique key items that serve no purpose other than to aid in a map specific escape should have special desks that they will ALWAYS spawn in. As it is, the shoes and gloves do exactly that and you just have to find them. They all should have been like that. It would be more adventurous and less boring to break into the guard wing to, say, get the feather rather than keep searching the cells every day and just hope it turns up.
I went back and fully completed the game a long time ago, the entire game is still insanely easy due to being way dumbed down for children.
