Multiplayer Doors/Keys
In multiplayer, you cannot hold a locked door open for someone as they cannot go through. For example, I exit my cell using a yellow key at night and i go to my friends cell to break him out, but when i open the door, he cant go through it at the same time as me. This causes us to both have to make seperate keys, which is annoying and makes it feel less immersive. Im suggesting that this be tweaked to allow both players to pass through the same door

yeah every player needs a own key, i also dont understand why the developers did that it makes no sense and they should change that

Yeah, i understand not being able to pass through doors which guards are opening, but players? Makes no sense to me.

my guess is because of how key durability works. You don't lost durability until you walk from one side of the door to the other.

but yeah, this ruined an escape for me and my buddy once because we didn't think we'd each need our own key to get through the same door at the same time. We actually specifically broke a wall so we WOULDN'T each need our own cell keys.

Same exact thing happened to me and my friends.

I understand that with the key durability it wouldnt work properly unless they made the locks one-way locks. For example, you need a red key to get IN a certain room and it will take 10% durability away from the key when you pass through the door, but to get OUT of the room, you dont need the key/it wont take durability from the key, resolving the issue of one player getting stuck in a room.

the only thing that does not key 2 keys are the keycards, i guess thats what you want to happen with normal keys?

With the interactable button? I suppose that would solve the problem, but i feel like it shouldnt work as a button, and instead we should just be able to pass through the same door, at the same time.

oh then no, that makes no sence cause then you could do that with all open doors and escape easily

huh? It already almost works that way. You just have to make spare keys for everyone.

Yeah thats true you can make unlimited key molds with just one key from the guard if you have enough ressources

I think there must be some misunderstanding then, because you'd still need the key to open the door in the first place and two keys isn't much harder to get than one... it just doesn't make sense.

i was respong to someone who said they wanted doors to be held open and you could go though them even if you had one key, i think it might have even been you who said it

then how is the game not too easy already? You can just get a key and open doors.

I think the problem is that it absolutly makes no sense that every player has to have his own key if you compare this to RL..
I mean it would be funny as ♥♥♥♥ if you imagine in RL you are opening doors and you are like to your friend behind you in RL prison "sry bro but you need your own key, you cant go through this door that i opened with my key"

They should also make it so other people can't go through your walls or tunnels you dug out unless they also break that same wall or dig that same tunnel block themselves.
