Key cards without triggering lockdown

So how does we get example cyan keycard without triggering lockdown? i have tried to put the fake key card into a guard but it still triggered the lockdown.

you have to tigger lock down because the medics will get him before you can make it, so just drop it when done

If you get up to a certain amount of intellect you can make a keycard copy using wire and a circuit board. and then you can actually make the fake keycard if you have the mold by using it with a molten plastic.

you dont put a fake keycard on the guard, you use the fake keycard to open the doors, the real one must stay on guard or you get a lockdown

i have tried that, but i could not open the doors. i am on Glorious Regime Prison and tried to escape by digging so i need to turn of the eletricy fence, yes i know other ways like using ice packs to escape but want to escape by digging, so i tried to use key and both fake keycard and real keycard and i cant open the door to where the eletricy is at Glorious Regime Prison

I am getting the same issue. Keycards are not working.

I honestly haven't seen a single door that uses the keycard except one of the job doors, in the first prison at least, and that door stilll uses a key.

there are doors that have half of the color that is the keycard they need and other half normal, those are key card doors

Next time, right click the key card in the guard's inventory- as long as you have the circuit board and wire, it should copy it without taking it out. If that doesn't work, take it out, copy fast, if you can get it back on them great, if not drop it and wait out the lockdown after hiding your contraband. This applies with keys as well- you can never have the real thing, if you do the dogs will track it down and murder you no matter where you are on the map.

Put the real key card back to the guard's inventory. While he's unconscious, quickly make a copy.

i do that in xbox sometimes not pc most of the time!

dig a hole, kill a guard in there, put soil and a desk over it, dig another hole, kill another one there, boom free keys
