getting keys

how do you get keys easily, cause as soon as i get a gaurds key its all dogs and lockdown

you have to clone the key and give it back to the guard or drop it on the floor. in the craft list you will see there some keys itens.

keep in mind that cloned keys have limited uses.

get a wad of putty, knock out a guard, craft the putty and key together, and then quickly give the guard the key before a medic gets him. if the medic gets him, drop the key and go to your cell, and make sure to hide all contraband, including the new mold you get.

You can also gift the key back to the guard while he's in the infirmary to avoid lockdown, since the psychic medics almost always get to the guard before you can return the key

I too would like to know this, is there any way to completely hide the original key? Would a contraband pouch hide it?

me and my buddy tried putting it in the hidden compartment, but the dog found it.

pain in the rear, but they're pretty cute, and make it more challenging

as long as the dog isnt looking for something you have, they should ignore your desk.

it:s quite impossible ,to get a key,because the game...just doesn;t seems to allow it under no circumstances,there was this one time,i got a keycard,and then i hid inside a vent,AND then used Vent covors to covor everything up,there was no way in and no way out,but then a dog just climbed into the vent from UNDER the vent,it:s like...they:re some kind of slime dogs or something,the law of physics just doesn:t applies on them

You're not really supposed to steal a key, what you are supposed to do is make a mould copy of the key and then put the key back on the cop before the medic comes

Tying up the guard with rope will give you another 30 seconds or so to do whatever you want before he gets up again.

does it stop the medic though? and your not supposed to steal the key, you grab key make a coppy using the putty and then put the key back.

Yeah it does, although it doesn't stop the guard from breaking free.

The description says something about if the dogs like you, they wont sniff you out. So maybe if you get the dogs opinions up high, they wont sniff you out.
