my monitor is small so i hate 3 way splitscreen plus most games that have splitscreen on pc only go up to 2
That means that you can play multiplayer on the Escapists 2 with people who are on Windows, Mac, Linux, or SteamOS (I would assume this is what the Steam Machines run) regardless of what their platform is. A Windows user will be able to play with three people on Macs, or vice-versa. Or you might have a person on each platform, and they'll still be able to play.
This also means that you can't play with someone on a console, i.e. someone on a Steam version of TE2 (The Escapists 2) can't play with someone who has the Xbox, PS, or Switch version of TE2. You cannot play between different consoles, either; i.e. Xbox to PS won't work. You can, however, play between the same consoles (obviously).
