Processing...
The other day, there was a crash issue on the Oculus version with custom songs when you opened a folder containing music files. Now that issue is fixed, but I still can't add songs to my playlist, because it's stuck on "Processing..."
I tried 3 different songs, non of them actually got processed. I waited 10 minutes(stopwatched it) for a 2 min song, I put the headset down and did other stuff, come back and its still processing(can you fix the screen flicker btw when you put down the headset?)
I'm fairly sure it's stuck...
I'm on the Oculus version.

And as a suggestion, please add some feedback about where the processing is at.
"Processing: X.mp3 Y%" or something.

Hi there, this is something we are investigating. If possible, can you please send us the output log that is created when you process a track and this occurs. To gather this, please follow these steps:

-Locate the output_log.txt file found in the following folder (Make sure all folders and files in your PC are not hidden):

C:\Users\<your-username>\AppData\LocalLow\FITXR\BOXVR folder and called output_log.txt.

-Email us the log file to support@fitxr.com

I too was stuck in processing fopr a long time, even after changing the name to less to 15 characters. As previously mentioned, I switched back to public beta and watched the same songs process rather quickly. The wave graph is an added benefit to show something is happening rather than the ambiguous "PROCESSING".

DEVS: You are doing a great job, in my opinion, with making the game enjoyable and challenging. It is the ONLY game that I play EVERY SINGLE DAY... BUT C'MON!! Bring back the graphs. The workout tracking graph and the song processing graph. They both were excellent ideas from the beginning and helped the player to see their progress. Thanks!

It is not universal as I have created several playlists. I just did one today as a matter of fact.

Did you switch to public beta at all? I think I will switch back to the current build and see if it still works. Still, the graph is a great way to see that the progress is moving.

Tried it, didn't work, switching back to beta. The current build still did not work for me. But it did reveal a strange thing, the tracks in the game would not load either. I exited and restarted the game and tried to load an in game track and it went straight to processing like an external track where it sat with no indication of what was going on. I'll stick with the beta. I like the graphs anyway.

No but I am also on the oculus version. I meant to mention that in my original post just as data point. I created a 45 minute playlist with my own mp3s this morning.

I'm pretty sure the issue is related to the file types that the game is finding and either doesn't support or is bugged. .mp3 files will work every time no problem however any other file type(I tried a few) does not or at least for me it doesn't anymore. I own this both on Steam and Oculus(I mostly use Oculus) and the issue is persistent between both versions. If you're like me and buy music through iTunes the files are either .AAC or .M4A which the game will find but will not process. I don't know if this is something changed recently because they use to work but they no longer do.

BINGO! That must be it. I was trying to do the exact same thing with itunes. I didnt think about changing the format. THANKS for sharing that bit of info!

It's not the same as my issue tho, I only use .mp3, and still doesnt work, but it used to in the early access version. I'm using the same files, and according to the output log, it first converts the files to .wav(which it does successfully), and process that file instead further, so file type shouldnt be an issue for me. It seems they use a 3rd party lib to analyse the wav, and even that completes successfully, however there is a crash after - according to the log, the game is running fine.

I tried reinstalling, deleting that appdata folder, nothing.
