How do I fully delete the game and start fresh?
I'm having a serious problem getting jabs to register. As part of my troubleshooting I wanted to delete the game and any save/config files, but I can't seem to find them all.

I uninstalled via Steam, manually deleted the folder in appdata, and made sure the steam install directory was cleared. When I reinstall, my glove position, latency, and height/weight data are still saved.

Where is this stuff hiding on my PC? How do I reset to the default glove position?

I think it;s the latest update that has nerfed the game as it's been experienced by several of us. They updated the collision mechanics a couple weeks ago and it's made the fast jabs especially impossible to hit, they just go straight through your gloves most of the time.

I don't know how long you've owned the game but it wasn't like that up until the beginning of December. Previously it was sublime, the boxing mechanics were glorious. I could score over 2 million in some of the endurance levels and could completel all the power and speed sessions without dropping a ball.

It's great that you have posted your complaint as hopefully the more people see it the more likely they are to revert back to the November update. I hate the stuff they adding to the game as well, the scoring is awful, I hate the numbers coming off my gloves and the stupid seasonal updates are pointless as who is going to want a Christmas or Halloween level outside of Christmas and Halloween.

I just hope they can be pursuaded to go back to the old school style where it was all about the workouts and music.

Hi @fuse, thank you for your feedback! We have logged the issue of jabs not registering for all users and are looking to get this fixed as soon as possible!
@Kjaye we are still working to optimise our latest additions in the game and appreciate any feedback you have for us! Also, as discussed in another thread, we have provided you with access to the previous build in the beta channel.

Thanks, but I would still like to know how to reset my height/weight/glove position/latency.

Where are these settings saved?

@Fuse, you can change these on the settings page which you can find at the bottom left of your screen

I know. I changed them already, and I want to reset to default as if I had never played before.

Where on my computer are they saved? Like, what is the name of the file you use to save these settings? Where can I find it on my harddrive?

It's a little disconcerting to uninstall a game, delete the folder in appdata, and discover these settings are still saved somewhere I can't find.

Thanks.

Hey Fuse

I think if you go to the drive you've installed the game on, probably C: by default, but on mine is E: as I have only a small SSD C drive and a big 3 TB E drive so put all my games on that.

For me, to get to the data it's the following;

E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\BOXVR

I don't know what file exactly you need to delete to reset the data but If you uninstall the game and then look in that folder and delete everything that's left then reinstall it should clear it all out.

That is not where user settings are stored, hence my query.

I have made sure the steamapps install directory is deleted, and I've manually delted the files I found at c:\users\myname\appdata\locallow\fitxr\boxvr. I have also made sure Steam Cloud is disabled for this title.

After I delete all these files and resintall, the game still has my old height/weight/latency/glove positions saved.

Hi Fuse, thanks for getting in touch. The file you found is where all user data is saved such as highscores, and not game data which is saved on the Steam cloud which is why you can’t find it on your computer. Please let us know if you have any further questions but rest assured we aren’t trying to hide data from our users.

Sorry. I didn't mean you were up to anything nefarious, I just felt like I was going slightly insane. haha

I know I tried disabling the Steam Cloud before my last re-install, but I must have missed something. I'll give it another try tomorrow.

Thanks!

PS. I meant to say this when y'all announced it, but thanks a lot for the temporary rollback for the hit detection issues. It was a big help.
