Hi there!
While I dont own one myself, we have had several users report the DJI FPV controller as the only controller from DJI that will work with the DRL Sim. DJI Has proprietary hardware that they dont want to share much. With that said, I cant say with certainty that the controller will work with Mac, but I believe it will. What you can do is, head to this website with your controller plugged into your Mac. https://gamepad-tester.com/ There you can test the controller. If its working there, then itll work in the sim!
If you have any issues, let me know! Happy to help!

Hey there!
Thats great to hear! Thank you so much for updating us on this!
Happy Flying!

I'm sorry to hear that... The controller does work with the sim. Some have reported needing to install the DJI app on their machine first. Some have had update firmware on the controller, some needed to ensure the cable was working properly, use different ports... however everyone so far with that radio has been able to get it working.
Can you confirm if your controller was even working with your system (joy.cpl from windows search) and this site? https://gamepad-tester.com/
Let me know if I or anyone else can help you!
Thanks

can anyone tell me what im doing wrong? i can calibrate it but since i don't have channels i cant fly.
Same problem here .... Gamepad tester says connected but no axis.. firmewire was updated..
any other comments?
Trying with DLR and Liftoff - Throttle stick up error during calibration or issue with centering the sticks..
- DJI assistant for FPV installed and it's showing the controller - firmware up to date.
- Cable USB-C to USB (charging and data transfer)
- Windows 11
- On laptop showing as C5.. but NOT working with ystem (joy.cpl from windows search)..
WHAT TO DO?! :/
DJI controllers are not allowed to be used with other programs, except the DJI FPV controllers.
However, you must first connect your controller to the DJI app before you can use it in other programs.
Once you have done this, its simply plug in, calibrate in game, and thats it.
You will need to ensure that the controller is working with Windows, before you can test with the Sim or any other program.
To do this, turn on and plug in your controller, then head to the windows game controller window by typing JOY.CPL in a windows search and hitting ENTER.
This will open the Controller box. If the controller is working with Windows, it will appear in that box, and when clicked on it, and then the properties button, the controller will function properly in the Properties screen.
If it is NOT working in that screen properly, the sim will not work with the controller. Which you will need to solve for the connection and communication issue with windows.
The only option that we are aware of, is connecting the controller to the DJI and updating.
I hope this helps you and the others.
