Taranis 9d+ wont configure

Hi,

i tried mutliple times to bind my controller to the game but it isnt working. my taranis is in joystick mode connected to the pc and i did make a model like the tutorials mention. My steam also recognizes native controllers so i don't know what could be the problem. FPV freerider does work fine!

Hi there.. Sorry to hear you are having an issue.. Have you ever gotten this controller to work with the sim before? Also what method are you using to connect to the computer?

Im using a taranis 9dx with opentx 2.2.2 connected true a mini usb on a Mac Pro with specs needed to run the game. I turn on the taranis then i plugin the usb. then the taranis asks me for Joystick or Data connection, i select Joystick. Then i open DRl racing and it shows at the bottom nohardware found. When i go in to settings there is a question mark next to the Taranis x9D

I also made a model on the taranis following the guideliness DRL gives on their website: https://drlracingsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001112571-Taranis-X9D

The usb cable cant be the problem i'm using it for FPV freerider, betaflight, opentx.

So i'm currently stuck and don't know what the problem could be

Hi mtyssens,
Have you tried setting the Taranis to Joystick instead of ask inside of the menu? Some users report that ASK mode can cause some issues. Here's a link with some more information.

For some odd reason it finally worked without changing something the taranis is now recognized but every time i reboot i need to configurate the ingame settings (calibration)

Hi mtyssens,
Glad to hear that you were able to get your controller working, I still recommend changing your USB setting to Joystick in the Taranis menu instead of ask.

Are you going through the green New Controller box or the yellow Advanced Setup box when you are setting up your controller?

Ok.. Glad to hear that its working.. For the most part.. This helps us drill down into it some more.. Will Do some testing to see if we can solve. Please let us know if you discover any other findings in the meantime. Thank you so much!

Hi mtyssens,

Sometimes the settings don't save correctly the first time after you have used the automated setup in New Controller. I've found that restarting the game and going through advanced setup again has had good results with saving my settings.

Also we think we've fixed the issue, should be included in the next major update to the game.
