Why does this need a controller?

I think this game would be better if it didn't require the use of a controller. Well i'm saying that because I cant get a controller to work on my Mac.

I think they added gamepad support to allow people who dont have proper TX to access the sim as it's not just us RC pilots who enjoy DRL racing. It's a way for them to get more people involved in the world of drone racing, plus it gives none RC people to try something thats not far off how it feels to fly in real life and maybe get into flying for real. There are now quite a few sims out there now that provide gamepad support which is another reason DRL have added the same, just look at some of the others like Rotor Rush and Velocidrone which I have myself, and if DRL were to achieve the feeling of Rotor Rush which is the most realistic feeling sim I've tried yet they would have the best sim on the market.

The team would like this game to as accessible as possible, while also trying to give the closest to real life experience as possible. While the team will be adding keyboard controls to the game in the future, this experience will not be as optimal as a controller or a transmitter.
