you would do the same if they sold blizzard games on steam and ppl would ask "why battlenet?"
also you have at least the option to buy it on steam not like ea did and removed games on steam and sells only on origin now or like microsoft did with age of empires.
if you don´t like to use another launcher don´t buy on steam.
As much as companies like Ubi like to parade the term "player choice" around, we weren't really given a choice to play Trials Rising without Uplay, were we?
So I agree front end apps are a drain just seems uplay is not too bad in that way. Fusion was fun but just a couple of fixes and additions would make a great game so I wish Rising will fufill its destiny as a better Trials game but with all the bad games coming out it does seem a hard task to do.
Boycott...divest...sanction....
its helping people and it can help you too!
The Trials games, Steep, Assassins Series, Rainbow Six Siege, The Division and a ton of more games that I am enjoying through Uplay.
Fortnite, Overwatch,... All use separate launchers as well. GTA V needs U to log into a third party (not Steam) to be able to be played,... Again, I prefer to have just the one launcher, but rather play them outside of Steam than not at all.
Feel for you, Have had some stuff like that myself with an old sony account. best just to start over that way you will be back up quicker
