<Rant on> I'm a vet of this game, I'm suppose to destroy noobs. Noobs are suppose to whine and cry because I'm so much better. Then they slowly get better and knock me down to 2nd or 3rd place and they become the vet. It's the way the world works.
All they're doing is making it harder for me to get to Diamond level. If they really want to handicap, then they should force me to always race with the squid. Or freeze me at the starting gate for an extra 10-30 seconds. Of course I'll still win because... well, I'm amazing, but at least the noobs will feel it's fair. <Rant over>
Punish players for taking 1st... So stupid. I win, but I lose.
"Hey Congrats, you took 1st place out of 7 players"
"Now give up 3 medal points"
WHA WHA WHAT!!???
I dont think that's the case. The very first thing I did on this game was Multiplayer, because I thought it would be a menu, not an instant join queue. I came second and lost about 70 points as a level 1, and first place gained about 12 points. You'd think I'd gain loads, or at least lose very little, for beating 5 other players that were higher level than me.
I really hope a developer sees this, because it immediately put me off the multiplayer, and likely many others. I do not have any interest in trying to rank up if it's a case of +12 for a win, and -72 minimum for a second place. I dread to think what you get for last....
If anyone is interested or needs a little proof, I took a screen shot earlier (Steam hasn't updated my profile yet) and uploaded it to the Community Hub a few mins ago. Should be up there under "Most Recent" fairly shortly.
I don't doubt you at all, just disappointed in RedLynx really. I still think they are an incredible team, and on a human to human level, I think all of them are hilarious and brilliant personalities (The ones ive had the pleasure to see!). Im just shocked they dropped the ball so hard on this because I know for a fact that the majority of RedLynx are major Trials fans themselves
Heres the link for others that want to see his evidence; he wins overall and loses points for it. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1690736238
Unless they change multiplayer to something simple & basic (which is all that's needed) like simply giving points for a podium finish, and zero points, or a small amount for 4-8th. I'll never play multiplayer again. I'll stick with career and TC. Jumping into multiplayer where I could place 1st, 2nd or 3rd and lose points depending on which players joined is ridiculous.
EDIT: Oh yeah, And Track Central is a disaster. The menu system from Fusion was so perfect, why change it?
