PSA: THE STEAM VERSION OF THE GAME IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE UPLAY SEASON PASS

I bought the game on Steam (Which put the game in my uPlay library) and the season pass on uPlay. Couldn't see the season pass in my uPlay library, so I contacted support. This is their response:

"It appears your Season Pass is a Uplay version, and the game itself is a Steam version. They are not compatible. You need a Steam version of the Season Pass to play its content."

This means, if you own the Steam version of the game you cannot use the uPlay Season Pass - Even though you can with Rainbow Six Siege.

I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY THE UPLAY SEASON PASS IF YOU OWN THE GAME ON STEAM.

It was always like this. If you buy a uplay game on steam you always had to buy the season pass on steam too. It never worked to buy the game on steam and the season pass on uplay.

That's not true. I own the Steam versions of Siege and For Honor but bought the DLC via uPlay with no issues.

DLC or season pass? You might be lucky and it really works even if i still don't believe it. But it isn't supposed to work, you always should buy the season pass on the same platform where you bought the game. Just because it worked maybe on another game or two doesn't mean you have that luck every time. Everyone knows that game and season pass on different platforms isn't always compatible, ignoring it and then complaining on the forum doesn't make it better.

I have purchased Trials Rising Gold edition on Steam. How can I see in the game if the expansion pack is activated? In Steam in my library it says it is, but in Uplay it just shows Trials Rising, no mention of gold, nor does it show the expansion pack.

With the game selected in library under the DLC box in the middle of the page should show 'Trials Rising - Expansion Pass' you also know what you have by how much you purchased the game for, gold edition being more expensive ofc.

is this even a problem considering no one can see the expansion in uplay regardless of what version. the dlc is not out yet
i remember having the exact same situation in fusion. i specifically asked ubi if this is possible and they said NO. however a steam user said it does work so i bought it throu uplay and everything was fine. that was after the dlc was released.

when it comes to pc they're never sure with things like that.

still. in fusion i have no information/dlc tab in uplay but i still own entire season pass that was activated with uplay only while playing steam version. i'm not sure in this game but it could very well be the exact same case.
