Saying that I bet there is actual achievements on the uPlay side like in Rainbow Six Siege
And trust me, there's enough to do in the game to keep you interested, achievements are the least of your worries ^^
As Waggy alrdy mentioned, they did perfectly with other games, why there not consistent?
They don´t know, they can make some money with steam achievements, because they can´t see this directly, which players only bought the game because of achievements.
With trading cards they can see how much money they made, I think, that´s why those are in but not the achievements...
Every small indie developer brings steam achievements, because the most of them are gamers on steam too, like me and they know, that there are a lot of gamers who only buy games with achievements, I think it´s a need to have in a fully released game.
If the game would be in Early Access, it would be okay for me to have no achievements, because there are other things in the foreground, but as soon as it leaves EA, there should be also steam achievements in^^
Implementing steam achievements shouldn´t be a big problem, especially for games which have achievements in game or on other platforms and don´t need to create icons for them.
They only need to upload some icons to steam and connect steam with the game, needs time of maybe 1 hour (if you know the process, it could be implemented in 10 minutes), that´s not really much, if you think about a AAA game, that needs years to get finished...
Agree there. I don't care if it has no steam achievements as long as it has ubisoft achievements which increases your profile level AND gives you points you can use for either ingame stuff or 20% off a game with 100 points
