Why does this game run so badly?
I've got 16 GB of ram, an intel core i7 and a GTX 1050 and it runs like pure trash and I have no clue why. I've tried multiple solutions and it still runs like crap. Any clue why this is happening, and any idea how to fix this?

Scalding customers is great fun and all but do you have anything useful to contribute and help us paying customers who find themselves up the creek?
I too would like to know if there is any plans to fix the issues such as the low framerate on highend machines as well as the always crashing when you close the game out.
James Feb 27, 2019 @ 1:54pm
The always crashing is a known issue with Ubi so at least that should be fixed :D

run it in fullscreen, disable v-sync and use the "adaptive v-sync" option in nvidia for this game. made my game run a lot smoother

On AMD GPUs, if you disable ingame vsync, game runs with terrible tearing, and I'm on a Freesync monitor. Engine doesn't care for neither AMD freesync or enhanced sync.

So the only response we get from a Ubi staffer is a "smart" comment berating a customer yet doing nothing to acknowledge the problem.

Disgusting.

I posted on the Ubi Rising forums - no response there as well.

With performance issues there are many things that can impact performance and many different systems, video cards etc. Optimum settings may differ from set up to set up, making issues like this difficult to address on a "one solution fits all" level.

There are quite a few helpful suggestions from the community on what helped them and what might help others on several Discussions already, including this one. Some have posted back success using some of these suggestions.

For anyone still impacted by performance issues our Support team can help to sort out what is causing the troubles for your particular system and set up. If you wish to reach out to Support for help there are several ways you can contact them:

If you would like to submit a Support Ticket for help you can do so here:

Guys, not seen this mentioned anywhere and it helped me so thought would share.

Disclaimer, this is for those with half decent rigs, would not suggest trying this with an embedded/iGPU :p

Goto Advanced video settings and set preset to "High".
Go back to the standard video menu.

With the preset set to "High", this unlocks the "Resolution Scaling". Set this to 1.5 or 2. Apply then try the game.

My native resolution is 1080p.

The game now looks BEAUTIFUL with less "stutter" and the menus seem smoother to be. (Still the sticking in the menus though) :(

Mileage may vary but hope it works for some. Be cautious, supersampling puts more pressure on your GPU but to be honest, the game is not a hog so half decent rigs can handle it.

There is something screwy though as I noticed GPU usage is at 100% be it on medium preset or super sampling.

If guessing, I would say the game is internally throttling itself and does a BAD job of it in which case forcing your GPU to do more work reduces/stops the throttling so works better.

♥♥♥♥, its cause it's using your integrated graphics mostly still instead of your graphics card fully. Doesnt anybody know what task manager is??

Difficult when your iGPU is disabled in the UEFI.

Meh, steam not allowing to quote properly, sorry.

8 gigs of ram, an i5 and a 1050 do not a gaming pc make...maybe if you only play games from 3+ years ago at 720p....
Not at all, Far Cry 5 run perfectly on 1080 in medium, to give an example, For honor runned well last time I ran it (in high if i remember well). I don't have a gaming PC but I have a config that allows me to play with better graphics than on my PS4. On top of that, you can run newer games even without a 1080 and a big i7, I have a little bit of knowledge in PC components and performance, thanks. I know that my configuration can run Trials Rising REALLY well. Just I don't know how the hell this game has been optimized (like Forza Horizon 4 I think)

Ubi support being Ubi support...

I filed a ticket about performance issues on hardware that meets and exceeds recommended requirements and they are telling me I have "a large amount of software installed" on my computer and that some of it may be causing issues and telling me to do a clean boot...

I literally have only the AMD and Realtek audio drivers booting up in MSConfig, as well as my antivir. That is all...

I swear, they ask for your MSInfo file just so they can make up pretend-excuses why their games perform like crap. :lunar2019deadpanpig:

Aftermarket A/Vs can have huge huge performance overheads and realtek drivers are honestly god-awful.

What's your specs?
