How many acorns can be earned?

I saw something about obtaining acorns from collecting squirrels. I have done about 6 levels and only received 5 acorns so far plus the free starter uplay 5.
Can you earn enough to get the extra bikes and the fusion stages?

I earned about 300, I forget the exact number. I think collecting all squirrels gives you some, probably some Contracts do too. I played the two main expansions btw and got those collectibles. You should definitely buy the Helium and Donkey bikes asap, not just for the gameplay variety but also they unlock a lot of easy Contracts for XP. The recent bike additions are 45 acorns each, and you don't really need any of them. The track packs, of which there will soon be 3 I think, are 35 each. Just don't waste your acorns on cosmetics and you should be be fine to get the additional content without spending.

Ok, Thats great, I will just keep playing then. I am not really interested in using the cosmetics stuff so I will not be spending acorns on that stuff,

What did they nerf? I just checked. If the Shopping Trolley cost 45 as I think it did, then I had 335 total, because I have 185 remaining after buying that bike and all three track packs. I've only beaten the first Ninja and I haven't beaten all Contracts.

Sucks for me, since I hadn't done much of the acorn stuff. They basically stole money from me--that premium currency was supposed to have come with my purchase.
