Why I miss FMX tricks
To be honest, I absolutely hated freestyle tracks in Trials Fusion. The main problem was that your performance was based purely on luck rather than skill. The scoring system was both exploitable and unfair because to achieve gold medal in those tracks, you had to be constantly flipping while performing random tricks and cross your fingers to land on two wheels. On the other hand, the regular Fusion tracks had some fun FMX challenges, for example, ‘performing a Proud hero over the cliff’.

Which brings us to contracts in Trials Rising. There’s no denying that those challenges become repetitive long before you have unlocked all tracks in career mode. Like seriously, who asked for those backflip, front flip and drive-on-one-wheel challenges in first place? Why just not replace them with various FMX challenges that were present in Trials Fusion? I want to perform Coffins, Superman poses and Kisses of death and not just flips! What do you think?

The tricks also makes for much more interesting shots. Maybe it will be added in a dlc or update, if the community shows enough interest in it.

That isn't how it worked at all. The main point was to do each of the available tricks through the run.I didn't "constantly flip" or "perform random tricks", and always landed on purpose, and golds were pretty easy.

It wasn't done great (what in Trials is, though), but the idea had a lot of potential that they really didn't tap in their tracks. I felt Fusion had particularly weak track design in general, so not surprising.

Would have like to see Rising do better with the idea, although I don't expect it'd make contracts less tiresome, but Rising obviously just isn't going for features or extras.
