This game specifically runs a bit poorly on older computers, but you should have no problem if its a newer one. If they're new to games they might have to grow into them a bit, but any of the movie-based Lego games are excellent. Star Wars, Marvel, Ninjago, LotR, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, Batman, etc.
There's no real penalty to dying in most Lego games. You just respawn right away in the same place and keep going. And the puzzles usually tell you exactly what to do with arrows or markers. So they're great for beginners.
Lego ninjago is based off the movie which is a non canon movie based off the show so i would also try to get your children to watch the show (and even movie) to further immerse themselves with the characters
Happy Hollidays and thank you
