Lego ninjago crashes and i get a white screen and i can hear sound and display driver crashed.

I am using windows 7 and yes my drivers are updated- I tried running administrastion and that did not work. Display driver crashed. I did reinstall windows 7 and still get this problem.It happens when you ffight the mechaCrab. I have AMD Graphics card. My graphic card was broken replaced it and it worked

sometimes directX isnt fully updated, or sometimes it requires older updates.
for older updates directx relist i think its called as includes 9.0 and below.
and believe me it happens just recently marvel v.s capcom wouldent load.
i hunted down direct x 9.0 and bam working.
as i had reinstalled awhile back and lost it as id normally have it installed.

windows update, make sure you didnt miss any of those as some updates are required by games.

I try to find direct x 9.0 and see if that works.

Run the game from a file "LEGONINJAGO_DX11.exe" instead. This will fix the crashes. Found this in another post here.

It is fixed. It was my problem. I tried the DDU uninstsller or what it is called. That did not work, but reinstalling windows 7 did it.

well sounds like your getting closer thats for sure, as audio without video, that means good chance its tied to the graphics driver, graphics card, or another program which is required for the games video.

hopefully someone comes up with the reason why, as its bound to be an few dealing with this problem.

I had an issue with my display driver crashing, installed MSI afterburner and UNDERclocked my card and the issue went away. It seemed, for me atleast that Nvidia's drivers wouldn't stop the card from overheating until the fail safe triggered and I was getting exact same issue as you in many games. Hope this helps.

awesome to hear, so you got some bad drivers or faulty drivers at one point maybe.
or possible the drivers were just not as compatible with the game.

mentioning faulty or bad drivers as that can happen, which if there bad or faulty sometimes an reinstall of them fixs them unless there an bad driver build then thats on the drive makers side.

I'm running a Nvidia GPU and am also getting Display Driver crashes on random intervals, so this is not an issue present only for AMD cards. Since no other game causes such behavior - I can only deduce there is some flaw in this particular game... Waiting for a patch...

UPDATE: My current PC was in the shop so I was using my old PC as backup which has quite older GPU with only 2GBs of Grapgical memory. When I got my current PC back from the shop I compared the games performance and with my current GPU which has 4GBs of graphical memory the games performance was normal. I also monitored the Graphical Memory usage and it was mostly near 2GB usage but once in a while it spiked up to 2.5 or even 2.8 GBs of Graphical memory used. So my guess is this game doen't know what to do when available graphical memory doen't meet the requirements for current rendering and simply crashes the display driver.

In short - this game needs more graphical resources than is stated in Minimum requirements...

Similar problem was for Just Cause 3, but that game simply became unplayably laggy/choppy (but didn't crash) once it hit the ceiling of Graphical Memory, even though Minimum Requirements were in the green.

I will buy/build a better pc and i soon have enough for it. Just need to wait for christmas. :)
