WORKAROUND FOR CRASHING USA MISSION 4

[Holiday]

I know this is a long shot that people will read this, but if you're after just the achievement on steam instead of the experience playing the mission, I've altered 2 files that will help you get it and avoid the crash. Bare in mind this makes the game laggy as I'm too lazy to deal with triggers etc. But it despawns all enemies and pushes you to the last stage within seconds. You will just need to move all your units to capture the 3 points.

Do not have any mods ON
Do not use the unit spawner to get more units

Both will crash your game as usual.

Just send your infantry you start with at the points to capture them.

Link for files, these need to go into your MAIN Install directory

InstallDir>resource>dlc_skirmish_1.pak

Open this with WinRar, drag and drop files

Start game, enjoy. Feel free to verify files after you've done it.

I've given this a try but it crashes on loading into the mission. I added your new files into the pak file and replaced the existing ones, they are deeper into the file structure you don't mention.

I also tried Toast's mod that does a similar thing to your mod but that also crashes.

This worked for me without fail, might be doing it wrong.

I've got it completed now, thank you for your files, i was able to edit a fresh file myself and used your work as a basis. I had the mission instant complete. I had a Google to setup the game_progress.set originally but i don't think anybody had submitted the exact name i needed.

If anyone else has the same issue, you can do the following which is simpler:
Put this in your "game_progress.set" in mydocuments/mygames/menofwar to unlock mission 5

I did as it was written earlier, but the game stopped working, I sat for several days, checked everything several times, the result is the same, the game immediately crashes. Maybe I did something wrong???
Please help. Maybe someone has a save at the time of capturing the flags. I would be very grateful.
