Weird Fps lag

While playing this game, no matter what settings I have it on when I move around the map and select units. The game stutters and this makes it unplayable. Any help would be appreciated :)

i have the same problem and tried to start the game in xp-campatibiliy-mode and as admin too, but nothing helped. I searched in the web but there are no solutions for that. Please let me know if you find a way to play that game. Thx (and sorry for my bad english)

Turn hardware cursor on and then off again in the graphic options menu. You have to do this every time you start the game.

I have the same problem too. I am using Windows 7, I did what AngelAbove said and nothing changed. Can anyone help me, with another method maybe?

edit: Actually it worked with campaing mod but when i play it on single player the problem is continuing.

Wow this worked, thank you! I just turned off hardware cursor and now it's smooth as butter.

Or just turn it off... In the middle of the tutorial, got tired of the weird lag, turned it off, and it fixed it.
