Joint Task Force

Joint Task Force

Game won't start at all.
Well I have this really annoying problem whenever I try to start the game.
An error message pops up saying this:
"In order to run Joint Task Force you need the AGEIA PhysX driver installed on your computer. Please reinstall the game and allow the AGEIA driver to install itself."
But the thing is that I have the absolutely latest version of the PhysX driver and that should work with the game, infact I was able to play this just fine until a few days ago when I got said error message.
I tried checking the Joint Task Force folder under the Steamapps folder and found an installation program for an older version of PhysX, however it won't work either as I would have to uninstall the current version.

To fix the physix startup problems go to:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.12.1031-legacy-driver.html

download and install to play the game on your new system.

And it works.

+2... As of 2016 all links still work. Game still plays fine.

I sadly cannot say the same. I have the legacy drivers installed and jtf crashes instantly after popping up. The Editor starts, but not the game. help?

This solution does not work for me.

First I tried to install the driver from the link, but it said that my current version is already up to date. I then uninstalled and re-installed it but then it gave me the "Failed to find Steam" error. I then copied the Steam.dll file to the game's directory, but then I'm back to the "requires Ageia Physx Driver"...

I found a fix, just copy Steam.dll from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam" and paste it into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\JTF"
I should note not to drag, it, copy and paste it.

Ok, please remember to exit Steam once you've downloaded the legacy drivers, then you can play the game directly from your desktop shortcut.

Another solution to "Failed to find Steam" error is to search for a NO-CD crack 1.2 fixed. Lonebullet site has one and the password is "lonebullet" without quotes.
