IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover

Need some guide on cockpit views
Hello guys, I been playing IL-2 series for a couple of years in SP, with full realism but with outside views.
Now I've started playing online with full realism and been struggle with the cockpit view, can manege to controll the views and fallow the enemy, in my joystick (cyborg v1) I have hotas view but didn't help to mutch, also been using the numpad view wich help a little more.
Just would like to know from seeing some movies what controls for view you use?

Regards ;)

In game, I use a TrackIR to look around, and have keys bound to 30,70,90 degree views. I don't use a hat to snap view (although some do). On the servers that I play on there is no external views allowed; it is cockpit on all the time.

Watching offline-recorded .trk replays you can allow external views when you load. I use the default controls (listed in the Options>Controls>Views (or Camera - can't remember at the moment)).

If you want to make a video from a .trk you recorded in a full switch game, you only have a few options: You can enjoy the cockpit view (all full switch / full real servers have externals turned off), or if you play on ATAG's MP server, you can join their forum and ask for permission to use their .trk processor. It will allow external views in your online-recorded .trk playback. As far as I know, they are the only full switch server to have this processing tool (it was made by their resident genius - Colander).

Didn't know about that TrackIR, just did some search now, so I can use the TrackIR even on the full realistic mod.

Track IR4 at a minimum if you can. The resolution is a bit lower than the 5, but it is 6DoF, and usually a good bit cheaper than the 5. The 4 is about the same price new as a 3 new so it makes sense to get the 4 at least.

If budget is tight, do what you can, or if you have a spare webcam you can try and set up a FreeTrack system which is probably as good as IR3 but for almost no cost.

When I mean good deal I say 30€ as new, they coust like 100$ which is like what 80€ or 75€ new, I also forgot to say its the TrackIR3 Pro
Another thing is that I cant find one single store here in Portugal that sell this products.
