Back ontopic, it should be to just plug and play. My controller was key-bound kinda wierd but i managed to work it out. Whats your problem?

The 360 controller will prove to be overly sensitive in the sim, and not provide adequate control. Unfortunately, you'll require an actual joystick for this one. I'd suggest $30 on the Logitech 3D Extreme, because it's an excellent stick at a very entry level price.

You won't have much luck with any sort of gamepad, no matter how you try to tune the settings in-game.
