Low fps and stuttering
Hi! As the title says I get low fps and lots and lots of stuttering, tried probably more than 20 different "solutions" but nothing is improving...

PC specs:
GPU: Geforce gtx 780
CPU: Amd 8350, 8 core 4.0GHz
Ram: Crucial X ballistic 16gb 1600Mhz
2TB hdd

So I do not really think that my pc is weak for it.

Have tried the TF mod, changed graphics setting and those "simple" tests.

do any1 have tried lots of methods and found something that actually works?

Thanks!

Just to let anyone know I used to have big stutter problems especially in multiplayer, but with the latest nvidia drivers it's been cured.

Hi,

I have been playing about 2 weeks. Your system is better than my setup.

This link is what I used to setup with:
============================
http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5058&p=52711

Read the whole thing and all its links.

Then Google searches for learning issues and troubleshooting to the ATAG group.

I watch YouTube videos as to all kinds of how-to.

Check out the Advanced Video settings in Options and uncheck what is not really necessary.

Good luck.

I have a solution that worked for me:

Go to Steam>Steamapps>Common>IL2-Sturmovik Cliffs Of Dover>Parts>Gui. (can also be Parts>Core>GUI).

Then rename logo.wmv to logo.wmv.disabled.

This dramatically improved my framerate. It has something to do with graphics cards being put in 2D mode when displaying the ubisoft movie, and not being able to get out of 2D mode.

i have the definitive solution for nvidia users and stuttering in Clod. there is a graphics card driver, version 3.5.50 or something, the ATAG forums have it i believe. i installed this version of nvidia driver and eliminated my stutters and low fps permanently. i had tried nearly everything i could prior to this fix and did not work. finally getting that specific driver DID completely remove all stuttering and low fps. i will try to find the link for you.

I have always used the latest stable Nvidia drivers for my GTX 680 and never had any stuttering or frame rate issues with TF mod installed.

Coming from DCS I can't help but wonder if the 2TB HDD is the culprit? Some large HDD's aren't exactly superfast. For DCS a SSD is highly recommended since having it on a HDD can cause stutter. Could it be the same here?

there is tool named process-lasso, you can find it here,https://bitsum.com/processlasso/
With this tool you can change the affinity of your cpu for games or other software and a lot of other useful things.I have also a fx8530 cpu and I let Clod only run on core 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and core 0 is not used for Clod. Why I did this??Always the first core, core 0, was used much more.
If you take a look at that site, they can explain it much better then I can.It is for free to try I think 30 days and then you have to pay.You can also define that for Clod you want max performance, so you don't need to go into the bios to change things all the time.
What motherboard do you have??I have a asus sabertooth board and in the bios there was also one or more functions in the bios what made Clod run bad, it was C1E

Perhaps a little late but i found the fix. Enable v-sync through nvidia control panel. It solved it for me. I went from 2 fps with stutter to a solid 60fps at all times.

Enabling v-sync through nvidia control panel: yes, that improves it massively for me. But it doesn't solve stuttering 100%.

Incredible, that after all these years, this title has such a fundamental problem.
