Control Settings Disappear

I set up my controls in single player and saved them to a file. Went to play multiplayer and the controls were all set back to default and the file I saved them to was gone. Reconfigured my controls in multiplayer and saved them to a file. Left multiplayer and that file is gone, the settings are back to default and the single player file doesn't load the settings from there as well.
Anyone know of a fix to this?

Did you hit apply? What you probably saved was the default settings

Where are you saving the file when you pick "save as"?

Yeah, I hit apply and figured it out. Have to save it to "user". All good now.
