As far as I know - put the card with the combo you want to be activated leftest of all the cards. Each card to the right of it should be of different colors. The combo chain will then form and the ability will take place (at the beginning or end of the turn), for all the cards in the chain.
I learned it from the help section in the game. You should read it. This is the only game I actuallty felt and wanted to read the help section. It was really helpful.
hope I helped. :)
Liquid is correct. Creating a combo involves setting up a chain of Simula where every link in the chain is a different colour from every other link. When you do this, the Simula on the left (we call this the combo leader) will have its Combo Ability activate.
Sometimes this effect is immediate, and will show on the board right away (ie: Simula in this combo gain +1 attack) and sometimes this ability happens at the end of turn if the combo is still active when you hit the end turn button (ie: At end of turn, deal 1 damage to target Simula).
An important thing to keep in mind is that a combo chain cannot have repeating Simula anywhere in it. Green-Yellow-Green-Black is not a combo, because there are two green Simula in it. Green-Yellow-EMPTY-Green-Black would be two different combos (each led by a green Simula) because you have left an empty board space between your two combo chains.
Hopefully this helps! Just make sure you leave a board space between the combo you want to activate and any Simula that would be a double colour in that combo chain.
First, thanks for playing RBA and for coming to the boards to participate. It would really help us if you could give us some suggestions that would have made your experience better. Because we know the game so well, sometimes things that we think are explained enough might not be at all. We would love to hear more from you about exactly where we can do better. I hope now that you have a better understanding of the combo system that you will give it another shot! Also, stay tuned as we have a big update that is on the way very soon.
Be well,
Adam
I don't know, seems like my combos work whenever they feel like it.
edit: So after some experimenting, it looks like if 2 colors are side by side in the same combo, it cancels out the entire combo? Also, if there's a non-combo card to the left of a combo card it ends the combo?
I know this is old as ♥♥♥♥, but I really like the game and maybe getting some activity here will help
