I have the same problem, already tried verifiying the game cache's integrity, updating my drives and re-installing, nothing works. When I try to boot it all I get is Steam's notification that it's preparing to run the game and that's it, no window opens, no crash report, nothing. This is also the case for Guardians of the Galaxy Telltale game and both the Batman Telltale games, though the latter two worked just fine less than a month ago. For whatever reason, Minecraft Season one works just fine as does Wolf Among Us. 'Tis a mystery, and a huge proverbial pain in the ass

I don't know if this is related but I installed it for the first time yesterday and thought it was strange that the download size was only about 125MB when the first season was 6GB. I tried to run it and unsurprisingly, it complained that Minecraft2.exe is missing. In fact, only the _CommonRedist folder is there, nothing else. I tried verifying that game files, uninstalling, and deleting appcache, but none of that helped.

In my case, this turned out to be because I was running it on Linux under Wine in 32-bit mode and it's a 64-bit game. Switching to 64-mode allowed me to install it but it still doesn't run. Perhaps some of you are on 32-bit Windows.

there is no, (and probably never will be) Linux support for this game my best guess is Microshi.... sorry... Microsoft pulled the plug on it even though a developer said a Linux version was ready for release
