Episode 4 jack's death is it permanent?

I have been playing episode 4 and If you refuse the deal to the scavengers jack falls and "dies" but I'm wondering if that's his permanent gravestone or he comes back later. I haven't finished episode 4 because if it's his permanent gravestone I'm restarting the episode unless keeping you sword means something great but I doubt it

Jack will live and by keeping the sword you may defeat Ivor later

so yor are making a good choice

I am still contemplating buying the game ....since no one is able to answer a simple question
is the game finished or is it gonna bring a bs season pass to get the rest of episodes like the first one

yeah but like first game was like "5 episodes" and my brother bought it luckily i didn't too , then we finished it on his account and then they are like "hey wanna finish it for real ? season pass 25$ for the rest 3 episodes " If this will do anything similar i honestly wanna know firsthand cuz i dont like paying twice for a game.

Right now, we don't know if there is gonna be a DLC story. Though, if there is a DLC story, it's not like in the first game, where the fifth episode you bought at first is actually the first episode of a new story.

The ending for Season 2 makes it unlikely that there will be DLC, since you’re presented with a major choice at the ending of Episode 5 that would alter any possible episodes after it, making it a very big work load for the team to create an episode for both choices while making it worth the money to buy in the first place.

EDIT: Unless they pull a Season 1 and create a new story with the DLC :P

Except you weren't paying to finish the story. Episodes 1-4 was the story, that ended the entire thing. Episode 5 was the first episode of a new story (Episodes 5-8) but they included it for free with the first one to get more people to want to buy it. If they didn't do it like that then you would have been buying the episodes 5-8 for the same price as the original game since it's the same number of episodes but instead you only payed for three (except actually it was cheaper than that because it was less than 3/4 of the price of the full game)
