Only getting the same seawater fish everytime????

I’m use the Peerless Pole, The Quality Bait, As Kiryu during the day and I only seem to getting Coelacanths, Fugus, Goby’s, Squids, Tiger Prawns, Tunas, and the occasional ScorpionFish and Spider Crabs, this is so annoying, are some locked behind times of days? I do it during the day since it’s easier to see fish at that time

Some of them only come out at certain times of day or with certain bait. You can search for a guide on Google that will show all the fish and how to catch them.

I've caught all fish during story mode, when time is locked. What matters is quality bait for "legendaries" and where you fish. Left or right side of the pier for Kiryu and north or south side of the river for Majima.

Yup, the side matters too, annoying but even more annoying when it still takes the piss to catch
