Good movies like the Yakuza games

Do you know any good movies like the Yakuza games? Don't have to be japanese and shouldn't be a comedy. So movies like Outrage, The Yellow Sea, Oldboy, Gangster High...

The movie should be modern so please no 1960 stuff.

I'm looking for movies or tv shows that are built like the Yakuza games. So modern atmosphere, rich guys in suits, thrilling story and maybe a bit brutal.

Takashi Miike has made many good Yakuza movies. He also directed the movie adaption of the first Yakuza game, but that is not his best work.

truth is, movies and tv shows are not able to create the feel the yakuza games bring, now you may find other story rich games like yakuza which may not necessarily be jrpgs but as for movies the time span isnt long enough to build up and flesh out characters and story arcs

I hope you are going to like it. If you like it, I can also recommend Yakuza Apocolypse, Deadly Outlaw: Rekka and Gozu. These are also all from Takashi Miike. They are all Yakuza films, but very different from each other.
In general Japanese Yakuza movies are the closest to the Yakuza games that you can find in my opinion.
As you have mentioned Outrage there are two sequels to Outrage, if you haven't watched them already (Outrage Beyond and Outrage Coda).

Bruh, the 1960's were the golden age of film. When they weren't too afraid of being accused of cheesiness to write interesting dialog, or make a few jokes, or actually act.

Funny how toxic some people can be for such a simple question. Firstly i thought the Yakuza-Community is the less toxic that i know so far but then you was coming and just broke that thoughts, lol. In addition to that i really don't know what your answer has to do with the question. Asked for movies with the same atmosphere of the games and you say "Play more games."

But please learn to write english first, if you really want to do it. Stuff like "yakuza if anything is like anime not movies......" is not even a sentence. It's really hard to understand you. And this is not even meant to be an attack. I don't even know if you wanna try to help or just want to tease because of whatever. Hell, i don't even know what you want me to say. If you wanna tell me, that i should play yakuza instead of watch movies then i can easily tell you that i own every game from the ryu ga gotoku franchise now and i am in the middle of the playthrough of the first game and i want to play it to the end of the franchise.

But that completely misses the point. If you don't want to answer the question correctly, why are you answering it at all? Is there something bad in your life right now that you need to vent your frustration here? I mean it only costs our energy and doesn't help at all. There is no reason to write like that.

i did help and even asked a question why not play the other yakuzas! your the one getting emotional i just said why not play other yakuzas. you didnt need to say all yakuza fans are bad cause i told ye to play the other games
